Course Outline
This course introduces learners to the fundamentals of media, technology and digital skills. It provides a broad understanding of technology concepts and practical experience in areas such as using digital devices, creating digital content, and understanding how technology supports everyday life and business. Learners will develop essential skills in communication, problem-solving, and working with technology, preparing them for further study or entry-level employment in the digital and media sector.
Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications required. A genuine interest in media, technology and willingness to learn are essential.
What will I learn?
Using Digital Devices and Technology - Learn how to use computers, tablets, and other industry devices. Creating Digital Content – Develop skills in creating documents, presentations, graphics, animations, video games, videos for personal or business use. Developing a Personal Progression Plan – Learn how to set goals and plan your next steps in education or employment. Communication Skills – Gain confidence in using digital tools to communicate effectively in different contexts.
Course Assessment
Assessment is through coursework and practical tasks. There are no formal written exams.
Career Progression
This qualification provides a foundation for progression to Level 2 courses, apprenticeships, or entry-level roles in the digital sector. It helps learners build confidence and skills for further study or employment.
