If you’re over 19, in a job earning less than £26,000 a year and want to take the next step to a great career, a Personal Learning Account could be just what you’re looking for.

What is a personal learning account?

Personal Learning Accounts provide a flexible and fully funded learning entitlement model to support employed individuals earning under 26K as well as those on furlough or who’s jobs are at risk, gain the right skills to either change careers or progress in employment at a higher level. The courses are specifically designed to address vocational training in sectors where there is a skills shortage to ensure the future needs of the economy are met

Who is eligible?

  • Aged 19+ and earning under £26,000 PA
  • Those on zero hour contracts or agency staff
  • Those negatively impacted by COVID (Furloughed staff (with any salary) and those at risk of redundancy

How will a PLA benefit me?

  • Improve prospects - giving you the skills to retain or secure a job
  • Help you to progress to the next stage of your career
  • Help you gain the skills you need to support a career change
