Whether you are a year 11 school leaver thinking about your next steps, an adult learner seeking to develop your skills and qualifications further, or an employer seeking support to develop your existing or new staff, we offer the opportunity to study at a top-performing, award-winning college that supports and inspires all learners to achieve the very best they can.
The College Merthyr Tydfil is one of the highest performing colleges in Wales.
With over just 2,500 learners studying at our state of the art main college campus and the specialist Creative Industries Centre - REDHOUSE (The Old Town Hall), we deliver education and training from post-16 A levels and vocational courses and apprenticeships through to university-level and professional qualifications, including Foundation Degrees, AAT and PGCE.
Situated in the heart of Merthyr Tydfil, we have excellent progression from our local partner secondary schools in the area. We also attract learners from across the heads of the valleys and south-east Wales region, including Brecon, Rhymney, Tredegar and Aberdare.
Our mission is very much focused on transforming lives through working together and we place great emphasis on working with our partners – schools, the local education authority, regional employers and our local community to ensure that we provide industry-relevant, employer-focused skills and qualifications with appropriate progression pathways for learners of all abilities and ages to succeed.
Whether you know what you want to study or not, our expert team of admissions advisers and subject tutors are here to help and advise you on course options and ensure that you are placed on the right course for you.
