Wellbeing & Learner Support Services at The College Merthyr Tydfil (TCMT)

At the College we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for our learners and our values are to be professional, inspiring, collaborative and supportive.  All staff at the college work closely to create this culture and to empower and support our learners.

Our Wellbeing Centre is based on the first floor and provides a collaborative support system for all learners. Our team offer advice, guidance and support on all aspects of wellbeing, including safeguarding, and emotional wellbeing, alongside therapeutic inputs form the Nurse Practitioner, Counsellor and Chaplaincy services.

If there are any queries about wellbeing support learners can call into the wellbeing centre or email T_wellbeing@merthyr.ac.uk. Learners can also make a referral for support on the college OnTrack system.

Looked After Young People and Young Adult Carers

If you are a young adult carer that is managing a caring role with college work, college can offer support to help you cope with the additional pressures.

If you live with a guardian, in a placement or there is a change to where you are living the college wellbeing and safeguarding teams can help to ensure that you are receiving the correct support.
