Additional Learning Provision
Additional Learning Needs (ALN):
A person with ALN as defined in the Additional Learning Needs Code as a person who has a learning difficulty or disability which calls for Additional Learning Provision (ALP).
ALP may be required for learners whose needs are not met by the universal learning provision that’s available to all learners. At college we will decide whether the young person has additional needs that require ALP by working with you, your family and previous setting.
If you have an Individual Development Plan (IDP) please ask your school to invite us to your review so you can tell us about your needs, and we can discuss support. If you wish to tell the team that you have a need for Additional Learning Provision (ALP) please contact Eleri Evans – Additional Learning Needs Coordinator (ALNCo) on 01685 726021 or at eevans1@merthyr.ac.uk
