Course Outline
Our computer science course offer an understanding of, and the ability to apply, the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science. The ability to analyse problems in computational terms through practical experience of solving such problems, including writing programs to do so using a range of programming languages. The capacity for thinking creatively, innovatively, analytically, logically and critically. The capacity to see relationships between different aspects of computer science . Mathematical and problem solving skills. The ability to articulate the individual (moral), social (ethical), legal and cultural opportunities and risks of digital technology.
Entry Requirements
5 GCSE's grade A*-C, applicants must have a B grade or above in GCSE Maths or Tech/Science related subject and C or above in GCSE English.
What will I learn?
A Level Computer Science provides learners the opportunity to learn about computer architecture, data representation, programming, algorithms, logic gates, network communication and computer science in society. This course has a substantial amount of programming to solve problems and provides progression into programming, software analysis and design.

Career Progression
Many students progress on to university to study Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI Robotics and programming. Alternatively, students progress into employment or apprenticeship scheme.
