Course Outline

This course will provide a firm foundation of knowledge, skills, values and principles to enable learners to feel confident and competent in their chosen health and social care career pathway. In addition, learners will gain essential research skills, the ability to interpret legislation and theories and apply these to health and social care practice. This course is designed for people who wish to progress into a professional career in health and social; such as nursing, allied health care professions, social work or health care management. This course is run in partnership with the University of South Wales

Entry Requirements

Applicants under 21 will require a level 3 qualification or equivalent. Applicants over 21 may be accepted without qualifications but will be required to demonstrate readiness to study at level 4. All offers will be subject to, interview, written assessment and a satisfactory reference.

Modules include • Study skills • Investigating Health and wellbeing • Law, Ethics and Policy • Professional Practice • Human Health and Disease

Course Assessment

There is a range of assessment techniques throughout the course including, written assessments, poster work, exams and presentations

Career Progression

You will be able to progress on to the Honours Degree at the university of South Wales
