"My time was really enjoyable at the college. The course was well coordinated and outside of my BTEC Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development, I had lots of opportunities to gain recognised national governing body qualifications, and I also had experience delivering physical literacy and various sports in schools. From a football perspective we had access to a great football programme, and we successful at winning Welsh regional competitions and the AOC Knockout Plate Competition. The education and performance sides of the course were excellent, and after leaving college, I managed to achieve a 1st Class Honours degree in BSc Sports Studies.
The qualification I studied alongside the wide opportunities at college, have given me confidence and skills to climb the coaching pathway ladder. Currently I am doing my UEFA A-Licence and am also coaching the FAW South Girls academy at under 15 level. The college has graet partners, and I was fortunate enough to gain employment with a company called Play Sports. Since 2020, I have gained employment at Cyrfathfa Park Primary School, and the course and experience at the college has developed my competence as a coach and leader. Recently I have become an FAW coach educator and I deliver the C-Licence qualification as part of this role. This is a role I enjoy, and it is great to support, educate and mentor coaches of the future."
