The College Merthyr Tydfil shortlisted for Professional Teaching Award

The College Merthyr Tydfil is proud to announce that its Inspire Team has been shortlisted for The Professional Teaching Awards, Learners Engagement in School/College category.

The award, which seeks to recognise an individual, team or school/college that has demonstrated an excellent approach to help improve learner engagement and attendance, showcases the positive impact that the team has had on learners both within the college and across Merthyr Tydfil as a whole.

Commenting on the shortlisting, Rhian Francis, head of Wellbeing and Learner Support, stated “Being shortlisted for this award is testament to the hard work and determination of the team to ensure that every learner has access to the support they need to help them achieve their maximum potential.  The team have been invaluable in ensuring that learners at risk of disengagement or who need wellbeing support, are able to continue and complete their studies successfully.”

The team, which have been shortlisted alongside Gower College and Bishop Vaughan Catholic School, Swansea, will find out if they have won the award at The Professional Teaching Awards ceremony in Mold on 14th July.
