Arrangements for attending college - Tuesday 4th January – Friday 7th January 2022

As a result of the wide concerns being shared about a potential surge in COVID-19 cases in January and to ensure continuity of learning for you all, the college is planning to deliver most lessons online for the first week back after Christmas.

The College will remain open to support:

Exams and Assessments

To minimise disruption, assessments that are scheduled during this time and that are deemed necessary, will continue to take place. Your course tutors will be in touch with you to confirm if you do need to attend for any assessments.

Learners requiring face to face support

The college building will be open to support vulnerable learners requiring an element of face to face support or learners who may find it challenging to access on-line lessons during the week. If you are struggling to access your lessons from home and would like to come in to use the IT facilities, please speak to your tutor, who in turn, will speak to a member of the college’ support team to arrange this for you.

What if I need a laptop or IT Device to support my on-line learning?

If you need access to an IT device to support your on-line learning, please speak to your course tutor and we can make arrangements for you to come into college and collect a device from reception

What if I receive free school meals?

Any learners who are in receipt of free meals will have money transferred to their bank accounts.

In addition, period products will be available for collection from the Learning Zone.

Lateral Flow Tests

As per our previous advice and guidance, we are continuing to encourage all learners to undertake regular lateral flow tests throughout the Christmas period and also prior to attending college, if you are coming into the building the first week back. To support this Lateral flow tests will be available for you to collect from reception

It is currently expected that face-to-face provision will recommence from Monday 10th January and we will update you further on this during the week commencing 4th January.
