Course Outline
A level Government and Politics is a perfect choice for students considering a career in politics, or those who simply want to understand how the world works. Politics goes well with Economics, History , Sociology and English. Politics does not just appeal to Social Science students, however: increasingly Art and Drama students have enrolled to study Government and Politics , giving them a broader perspective on the world.
Entry Requirements
A minimum of 5 A* to C grades at GCSE with a B grade in History or English.
What will I learn?
The A level Government and Politics course is designed to encourage students to develop their critical thinking skills and enhance their ability to interpret , evaluate and comment on the nature of politics . Students acquire knowledge of the structures of authority and power within the political system of the United Kingdom and are encouraged to think and debate.

Career Progression
