Microsoft Power BI Intermediate

Course Outline

This course will discuss the various methods and best practices that are in line with business and technical requirements for modelling, visualising, and analysing data with Power BI. The course will also show how to access and process data from a range of data sources including both relational and non-relational data. This course will also explore how to implement proper security standards and policies across the Power BI spectrum including datasets and groups. The course will also discuss how to manage and deploy reports and dashboards for sharing and content distribution.

What will I learn?

Advanced Data Import & Preparation Import from PDFs, web pages, and file collections. Use fuzzy matching to merge mismatched datasets. Apply data profiling to assess data quality. Generate custom columns in Power Query

Intermediate Data Modeling Create complex relationships and manage cardinality. Use DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for deeper analysis. Implement time intelligence functions

Advanced Visualisation & Dashboard Design Design interactive dashboards with slicers, bookmarks, and drill-throughs. Apply advanced layout and formatting techniques. Create KPIs and scorecards to track performance

Analytics & Scripting Perform basic statistical analysis. Integrate R and Python scripts for custom visuals and analytics.1 Hands-On Practice Work with real-world datasets. Solve business problems through guided exercises. Learn to present insights effectively to stakeholders
