RTITB Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck (Moffett)

Course Outline

The Vehicle Mounted lift truck operator training course (often referred to as a Moffett), will give you the skills to operate the truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection and recall and explain the causes of truck and load instability. Candidates will also learn how to attach and detach the truck to and from a carrying vehicle safely.

Safe Operation. How to operate the truck efficiency in various environments, Manoeuvring with and without loads, Operating on rough terrain and inclines

Pre-Use Inspection, Conducting daily checks to ensure the truck is safe to use, identifying and reporting faults

Truck and Load Stability, Understanding causes of instability, How to prevent tipping and overloading

Attachment and Detachment, Safety attaching and detaching the life truck from the carrying vehicle
