Course Outline

The RTITB Large Counterbalance Lift Truck operator training course will give you the skills to operate Rider Operated Counterbalance Lift Trucks over 10,000kg up to 15,000kg (ABA category B2), Rider Operated Counterbalance Lift Trucks over 15,000kg (ABA category B3); and Rider Operated Counterbalance Container Handling Trucks (ABA category G2).

Safe Operating Practices. Manoeuvring in confined spaces and varied workplace environments. Awareness of workplace hazards and stability factors. Legal responsibilities and compliance with health and safety regulations

Pre-Use Inspections, .How to conduct thorough checks before operating the truck. Identifying faults and ensuring equipment is safe to use. Load Handling and Stability. Understanding the causes of truck and load instability. Techniques for safe lifting, stacking, and transporting of load.

Theory and Practical Training.Classroom-based learning covering regulations and theory. Hands-on training using real equipment in simulated work environments
