Course Outline

A Level Drama allows you to develop an exciting and extensive range of creative and technical performance skills which will broaden your experience and imagination. The department is well established with 100% pass rate at AS and A2.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at grades A* to C including English Language. You will be asked to attend an audition as part of the entry requirements for this course.

What will I learn?

On this course you will study the working practices of various Theatre Companies and Theatre Practitioners. Using this knowledge you will create and develop your own perfomance work based on a reinterpretation of an extract. You will also study and perform textual extracts.

Course Assessment

Performance and written paper.

Career Progression

Many students apply to and are offered places at university to study higher level courses in theatre and drama studies or they progress to a career in performing arts.
