Course Outline

The Level 1 City and Guilds Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance is intended to provide you with a thorough awareness of all of the major operating systems of a light vehicle.

Entry Requirements

GCSE grades D-F in English, Mathematics and a Sciencebased subject

What will I learn?

You will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the fundamental maintenance procedures required to service and repair vehicle systems. You will practice and develop your skills on a range of vehicles in our outstanding motor vehicle workshops. As part of your programme of study you will also attend tutorial lessons and further develop your English and Maths skills.

Practical assessments and portfolio of evidence

Career Progression

Progression to IMI Level 2 Diploma or NVQ2 by either full-time or part-time basis (if in training or employment).
