The qualification enables learners to develop a deep understanding of how innovations in digital technology, and the increasing levels of connectivity between them, impact the lives of those who use them and wider society. Learners will develop practical skills in developing both creative digital products and digital solutions to problems faced by organisations, supporting their progression into employment in a career that utilises digital technologies.
5 GCSE's grade A*-C, applicants must have a B grade or above in GCSE Maths or Tech/Science/IT/Digital Technology and C or above in GCSE English.
A Level Digital Technologies provides learners with the opportunity to develop skills and understanding in a range of exiting digital pathways including innovation in digital technology, creative digital practices, connected systems and digital solutions e.g. HCI, AI, connected smart devices, games design and databases.
2 onscreen exams & 2 practical project-based assessments
Learners will progress onto A2 and then into digital industries studying computer science, AI Robotics, games design and connected systems.
