Course Outline
This qualification is aimed at learners who are hoping for a career in health, social care and childcare. The qualification provides an introduction to working in the relevant area of health and social care, or childcare and helps you to develop skills and knowledge required for working in both sectors.
Entry Requirements
GCSE grade D-E.

Candidates will learn to develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the health, social care and childcare sector.

Career Progression
The qualification provides a stepping stone for those who wish to move into employment and complete either the Level 2 qualification in adult Health and Social Care or the Level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. The qualification also provides a stepping stone to the Social Care Induction Framework for Wales, which is a mandatory part of employment in social care and early year’s settings in Wales.
