Course Outline
From Level 1 through to Level 3, our hairdressing and beauty courses provide you with the opportunity to further develop your skills and enhance you career and employment prospects in the hair and beauty industry. All of our courses equip learners for the world of work by providing the opportunity for them to work within a realistic working environment whereby they are required to develop key employability skills.
Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements necessary, basic literacy and numeracy skills will be assessed prior to enrolment.
What will I learn?
The VTCT Level 1 Diploma in Hairdressing is a specialist vocationally related introductory qualification designed for those interested in the hairdressing profession. Learners will develop the necessary knowledge and skills through assisting in the workplace or work environment. Throughout the VTCT Level 1 Diploma in Hairdressing, learners will be supervised by technical staff and assessed on their occupational competence. This qualification is most suited for learners wishing to pursue a career in hairdressing.
Course Assessment
Observation of practical assessment, written assignments, case studies, end of unit tests
Career Progression
The Level 1 Diploma in Hairdressing provides suitable progression opportunities to Level 2 studies. These include the VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Barbering, Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (Combined Hair Types) and Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing.
