5 GCSEs grade A* - C to include Mathematics, English and successful interview demonstrating motivation and commitment to the programme
What will I learn?
The qualification includes a combination of units that aim to develop understanding and application of engineering principles and techniques. Workshop based units are taught alongside academic units to provide students with a broad knowledge and understanding of engineering. This quaification has been designed to be more acedemic than the other level 3 engineering courses and is designed for those students primarily wishing to advance to a 3 year university degree course or seeking an apprentiship.

Internal assessments and external examination
Career Progression
This course is accepted as entry to many university courses and Industrial Apprenticeships. The extended diploma is worth three A Levels and offers will be made on this basis.
