No formal entry requirements are necessary for this course, however, numeracy and literacy skills will be assessed prior to enrolment. An interview with one of our experienced construction trade tutors will be conducted, where you're expected to showcase an eagerness to explore the intricacies of bricklaying and a genuine interest in pursuing a career within the construction sector.
Throughout the course, you'll acquire hands-on experience in various aspects of bricklaying. From mastering mortar application techniques to understanding the principles of brickwork, you'll develop a solid foundation in this essential construction trade.
Evaluation will be based on practical workshop assessments and the compilation of a comprehensive portfolio of evidence. This approach ensures a well-rounded assessment that reflects your proficiency in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Upon successful completion, you'll be poised for entry-level positions in the construction industry as a skilled bricklayer. This course lays the groundwork for further specialisation or advancement in your construction career. You could progress to further learning in Brickwork via our L2 Foundation route.
