The level 2 Art and Design will allow you to develop 2D and 3D practical skills, drawing techniques, and an introduction to time based techniques. You will also look at how events that happened throughout the years affected what artists painted because of what they were influenced by. You will cover 8 units in total; unit 8 being the final major project at the end (March). The other units teach the necessary practical and research skills to use in the final project.
3 GCSE's grade D or above, applicants must show an aptitude for Art and Design. You will be asked to bring examples of your art work to your interview.
On this course you will study: Drawing techniques, painting techniques, Ceramics, Graphic Design, Printmaking, Studio Skills.
Coursework based including a Final Major Project.
Successful completion will enable you to progress onto the UAL Level 3 in Art and Graphic Design course
