A level Physics is the study of how the universe works. Physics is one of the most interesting and useful A levels that you can study. A level Physics covers all aspects of energy, matter and forces including particle physics, astrophysics, quantum physics, nuclear physics and medical physics. The course covers mechanics, dynamics, electricity, electromagnetism, lasers, thermodynamics, oscillations, electric fields,gravitational fields, orbital mechanics and magnetism.
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grades A-C including at least a B grade in Mathematics (usually Higher Tier), BB in double award science or BBB triple science.
A level Physics enables students to develop their mathematical, analytical and communication skills to a high level. The knowledge and skills that you gain when studying A level Physics are highly valued in industry, finance, engineering, medicine, business, research and education.
