Course Outline
Our new Esports program is a course that comprises of physical/psychological wellbeing, coaching, video production, live streaming, digital branding and marketing, live events management and competitive live events etc
Entry Requirements
5 GCSE’s grade C or above, or equivalent. Also, an interest in Competitive Gaming and the industry surrounding it, including areas such as (but not limited to); Competitive Analysis, Branding, Video Production, Games Design, Events Management, Health & Fitness and Shout-casting.
What will I learn?
During the first year of study you will cover: Introduction to Esports – you will look at esports and sport industries professional teams and career pathways. Esports Skills, Strategies and Analysis – you will be training requirements, techniques, tactics and performance analysis of games for improvement. Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in the Esports – research, plan and pitch an enterprise in esports Industry. Health, Wellbeing and Fitness for Esports Players – You will look at physical and psychological wellbeing for epsorts and how to improve health status. Games Design – generate ideas for an esports game concept. Producing an Esports Brand – plan, develop and esports brand. Video Production – explore video production and pre-production, produce an epsorts/game video.
On the second year you will study: Esports events – you will organise and manage your own esports event Computer Networking – understand and set up computer networks to enable esports events to take place Applications of Esport in the social media – use social media applications for esports coverage Esports coaching – developing coaching techniques Customer Immersion – explore digital media and marketing techniques Live steaming – use tools and techniques for live streaming events Shout casting – Develop commentary skills and techniques Esports enterprise – here you will look at planning your own esports enterprise

Career Progression
Successful completion of the Level 3 Esports qualification will provide you the opportunity to progress onto our Foundation Degree in Esports, here at the college. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the qualification, there will also be many higher education courses throughout the country which could be the next step for after the Level 3 in Esports.
