The Course is for people of any age who wish to develop a career in health and social care, including posts with responsibilities, such as those of supervision, administration and management. This course provides the knowledge, skills and motivation for career development.
Two A Levels, AVCE, BTEC National Certificate or Diploma I appropriate subjects. Mature applicants may be accepted without qualifications following interview and satisfactory reference
The course provides a firm foundation of knowledge, skills, values and principles intended to enable students to feel confident and competent in their chosen health and social care setting. In addition, students will gain essential research skills and the ability to interpret legislation and models and apply these to health and social practice.

Students are able to progress to BSC Health and Socia Care, or nursing, or social work degree subject to interview and prior qualifications.
