Course Outline
From Level 1 through to Level 3, our hairdressing and beauty courses provide you with the opportunity to further develop your skills and enhance you career and employment prospects in the hair and beauty industry. All of our courses equip learners for the world of work by providing the opportunity for them to work within a realistic working environment whereby they are required to develop key employability skills.
Entry Requirements
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in womens or gents hairdressing – Applicants are selected on interview.
What will I learn?
The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Barbering is an advanced vocational qualification that focuses on the development of advanced barbering techniques, the cutting of facial hair and health and safety. The certificate will develop the advanced skills and theoretical knowledge required for barbering and the cutting of facial hair. The purpose of this specialist qualification is to develop a high level of occupational ability for those in education or industry.
Course Assessment
Observation of practical assessment, written assignments, case studies, end of unit tests
Career Progression
This qualification may lead directly into employment in the barbering industry as a senior barber, salon manger or to work as an independent barber.
