Foundation/Advanced Modern Apprenticeships

Duration: Full Time

Entry Requirements: No formal qualifications. All Learners must be in full time employment and will attend an interview for acceptance onto the course.

Course Description:
Modern Apprenticeships are available, free of charge, to people who are employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week and are aged between 16 and 25. Apprenticeships normally last between a minimum of one to three years and these are two levels: Level 2 (Foundation Modern Apprenticeship) or Level 3 (Modern Apprenticeship) framework programme.

What you will Study:
You will study an NVQ 2 or 3, a technical certificate and specified Key Skills in a mixture of on (at your place of employment) and off (on College premises) the job provision. Both levels lead to a framework, consisting of: NVQS providing practical skills in specific occupational areas. Key Skills qualifications – transferable work related skills like IT and communication, application of number, problem solving, teamwork and improving learning and performance.

On successful completion of all required components you will receive a full framework certificate from the relevant Awarding Body. We offer this programme in:

Motor Vehicle
Construction Trades
Hairdressing
Childcare

On Completion/ Career Paths:
Employment progression and progression to HE etc.
