Elegibility

16-18 years
Students must live over 2 miles from the College. Travel is free from – Cynon Valley (Abercynon, Mountain Ash, Aberdare and Hirwaun) Bedlinog (Treharris, Trelewis, Edwardsville, Merthyr Vale, Aberfan and Troedyhiw.)

Where there is no free bus we can order a bus pass with Stage coach via your LEA.

19+ years
You may be eligible for travel reimbursement of petrol or bus tickets. You must live over 2 miles from the College. Responsibility of the College.

Method
Student to submit application form to the General Office.
College will provide reimbursement of bus fare at College discretion.

Student may request mileage instead. This will be at College discretion and be paid at the rate of 12.5p per mile to a maximum of £5 per day and must not exeed bus fare.

Student may request financial assistance towards a taxi reasons must be given why student cannot use public transport. Students must not be in receipt of Mobility/Motability allowances. Contribution will be means tested and capped.
e.g Up to £15 per day if family income below £22k pa.
Up to £10 per day if family income above £22k pa.

Review
This policy will be reviewed annually.
