Course Description:
This Foundation Degree programme aims to develop the student’s skills, knowledge and experience to enter the physical activity workforce, to work within communities with diverse physical activity needs, particularly in health promotion and local authority physical activity schemes.
The course is designed for those who have left school at 18 or mature applicants currently working in the industry wishing to pursue higher education qualifications or individuals wishing to have a change of career.

The Foundation Degree places a large emphasis on the work based module. The module involves attending a work placement for a minimum of 2 hours per week, in the health and exercise industry. The module carries the greatest credit weighting.

On Completion/ Career Paths:
Successful candidates who achieve appropriate credit scores can transfer onto the full degree programme at the University of Glamorgan.
