Entry Level: 1 & 2

Duration: Part Time 1 year – 16 hours per week

Entry Requirements: No formal qualifications are needed, entry will be decided when the student attends an interview for the course.

Course Description:
The Life Skills course is a part-time programme designed for smaller groups of adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Students will be able to develop skills of independent living, advocacy and personal care. Opportunities are available for students to expand their knowledge according to their interests.

What you will Study:
The programme allows students to develop Basic Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and I.T; encourage Communication Skills, raise awareness of Health and Safety Issues and Personal Hygiene as well as develop skills required for Independent Living.

On Completion/ Career Paths:
All subjects studied lead to Entry Level Open College Network (OCN) qualifications.
