The Medical Records Department of Prince Charles Hospital, Cwm Taff Health Board have been shortlisted for a prestigious Award in the category of ‘Developing a flexible and sustainable workforce’.
Merthyr Tydfil College, Work Based Learning Department working in partnership with 14-19 Pathways has provided Prince Charles Hospital with learners through their Youth Skill build Programme and First Step to Apprenticeship programme which is enabling learners to gain valuable knowledge and understanding of their chosen career giving them an opportunity to build experience and skills that are essential to gain employment.
These programmes allow students to gain a NVQ and a BTEC in Health Care Delivery which will provide the right calibre of applicant for the NHS future workforce, ensuring that they consistently deliver the service to the Right Patient at the Right time by the Right Person in the Right Place.
