Career Pathway Event for Merthyr Tydfil learners

The College Merthyr Tydfil was delighted to welcome over 800 year 9, 10 and 11 pupils from Afon Taf, Bishop Hedley, Cyfarthfa and Penydre to its recent Careers Pathway Event. The event, which was held on 4th April, utilised a range of the Welsh Government ‘Have a Go’ equipment, providing an excellent opportunity for the pupils to engage in a range of vocational and skills activities whilst at the same time speaking with course tutors, universities and employers about the learning, progression and employment pathways on offer to help them achieve these skills.

The College Merthyr Tydfil proudly presents 'Two' - Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th February

Come and see our Foundation Degree Performing Arts students and some other familiar faces in Jim Cartwright's Two. A play that explores human relationships and the secrets that unite and divide us, Two focuses on the Landlord and Landlady of a local pub and the many regulars who frequent it. Both funny and touching, the play will have you laughing out loud and then holding back the tears. Tickets are limited so please contact the box office and book yours now!

Minister eyes up The College Merthyr Tydfil

A Welsh Government Minister dissected an eye, learnt how to make a print, and practised welding - all during a visit to The College Merthyr Tydfil.

Kirsty Williams AM, Cabinet Secretary for Education, and Dawn Bowden, AM for Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney, spent a morning at the college, learning about the facilities available to learners across the region.
