Two Students from the College Merthyr Tydfil have had their creative media talents recognised at Wales’ largest film event for young people. Rebecca Hopkins a BTEC level 3 Media student won the prize for Best Documentary for her portrayal of her grandparent’s lives after retirement. Her documentary which was entitled ‘My grandparents and life after retirement’ focused on their daily routine and how they have adjusted to life after working for the last 40 years.Read more
The College Merthyr Tydfil Motor Vehicle students have recently left behind their workshop and lecture room to experience German engineering at its best.
The group of students and college lecturers made a five-day trip to Munich and Stuttgart to see first hand the production methods of car manufacturing giants.
They spent the first three days at the plants and museums of Audi, Mercedes-Benz, AMG and Porsche, all based near the historic city of Stuttgart and enjoyed a memorable experience.Read more
