The College Merthyr Tydfil Work Based Learning provision and Tydfil Training Consortium have, today, announced that they are joining together to provide an integrated traineeship and apprenticeship programme, offering a range of opportunities for learners from the age of 14 through to adults seeking help and support with their employability skills.
Staff and learners at The College Merthyr Tydfil are celebrating after achieving another year of outstanding A level and vocational results.
The college has maintained its already high standards with an overall A level pass rate of 99.5%. The number of learners achieving grades A*-A has also increased by 4% showcasing the rising quality of teaching and learning at the college. 73% earned A*-C grades, a rise of 3.5% in comparison to the 2017 A*-C pass rate.Read more

The College Merthyr Tydfil has been named as the top further education college in Wales for HE student satisfaction, according to the annual National Student Satisfaction Survey.
The college, which scored 87% last year, has risen to 94%, and is now joint top in Wales alongside Gower College which also scored 94%. This high score puts the college on par with the University of St Andrews which ranks 1st in the Times Higher Education National Student Survey (NSS) 2018: overall student satisfaction results.Read more
