Theatr Myfanwy Theatre is Merthyr College’s new theatre, on the 16th of April it was opended by a gala night of festivity.

The re-furbishment of the old hall now contains a new satge, tiered seating for approx 275, the latest lighting and sound equipment, new dressing rooms and box office and foyer.

The Theatre reopended with a week’s entertainment of Beverley Humphries, The Amigos, The Welsh National Opera and Magic (A Kind of Queen).

You can join the hugely popular Performing Arts Department here at Merthyr College and become part of the award winning Myfanwy Theatre (a Fforwm award for Equality and Diversity).

The Myfanwy Theatre regularly runs in house performances by the college’s performing arts students as well as external professional performers and artists.
