Learning Support

Merthyr Tydfil College is always looking to improve its service to learners. We have examined the support offered to learners and have put together a new multi disciplinary, professional Learning Coach Team.

The team delivers a quality service to learners cross college and works with tutors to raise awareness of disabilities, teaching methods and equipment available.

The work of the Learning Coach Team is included in the College’s three year Action Plan written to comply with the Disability Equality Duty.

The Learning Coaches can be contacted via the Flexible Learning Unit and are able to work with all learners particularly those who have a wide variety of educational needs including Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties and from a cross section of college courses ranging from Foundation Studies to Construction Trades, Childcare, Business and Access courses leading to University entry.
