Services & Facilities

Information about events at The Learning Zone and the College at large, are displayed on the plasma screens.

Library Facilities
There are currently 20,000 items for loan including books, ebooks, DVDs, journals and newspapers. Search OPAC to find the resources you need, to reserve items and request inter-site requests.

IT Facilities
Multimedia PCs, laptops and printing facilities are provided in the Learning Zone. PCs & laptops are both available on a drop-in basis or you may reserve a PC in advance by using Netloan. Laptops cannot be reserved. You will need a valid ID card to use these facilities.

Study Facilities
The Learning Zone provides areas for group, quiet and silent study and students are requested to respect other users whilst using the facilities. The Multimedia Zone provides an interactive whiteboard, projection and audio equipment along with DVD & video playback facilities. A conference table and seating are also available.

Photocopying and Printing
Black & white and colour printing and photocopying facilities are available. Costs for black & white printing and copying are 2p per page and 10p per page for colour. Print credits are available for purchase from the helpdesk in the Learning Zone – there is a minimum spend of £1.00.

Can’t find what you’re looking for?
Try the intersite request service. If the item you require is not available from the Learning Zone, we will obtain a copy for you from one of the other site libraries within the Glamorgan group or from the British Library. Please allow up to 3 working days for items requested for other sites. Remember to use OPAC to find the resources you require.
