City & Guilds – ITQ IT Users (L1 – L2)

Full Time 1 year – 21 hours per week

All learners will be assessed and interviewed prior to acceptance on the course.

About the Course

This level 1 IT course is mostly practical and would suit learners who like to take a ‘hands-on’ approach. It is deigned for students who want to work with computers based in a commercial office environment, or those who need to build their skills before moving to a course which is more technical.

Literacy and numeracy are important to all workers in the information technology area, and therefore these skills form an important part of this course.

What you will Study

A range of ICT practical and hands on units.

Assessment Methods
Candidates are assessed by means of OCR-set assignments. The assignments are set in realistic scenarios and are designed to allow the candidate to use their knowledge and understanding to demonstrate their skill in a logical and realistic way

On Completion/Career Paths

Candidates who successfully complete the ITQ will be able to progress onto the BTEC 1st Diploma.
