Entry Requirements:
Interview plus basic skills in literacy and numeracy as well as a particular interest in ICT.

Course Description:
This course is aimed mainly at school leavers who want a career in Information Technology.

Literacy and numeracy are important to all workers in the information technology area, and therefore these skills form an important part of this course.

What you will Study:
The First Diploma lets you study: Uses of IT, Computer Systems, Web Development, Financial Modeling, Database Management, ICT Graphics and Software design & development. Students can gain skills for working in this exciting field of study.

The Welsh Baccalaureate (WBQ) is integrated into the First Diploma and forms an important aspect of the course.

On Completion/ Career Paths:
The award allows students entry onto a higher level of course such as the BTEC National Certificate or Diploma.
