
About Estates & Facilities
The Estates & Facilities Department is primarily responsible for the overall management of the Colleges Estate.
This involves the maintenance of all sites and buildings, as well as the strategic development of the Estate where Capital Building projects – such as new builds and refurbishments – are undertaken as part of the University’s long-term development plan.
Estates Helpdesk
The Estates Department operate a helpdesk where staff can log all maintenance requests / issues for completion by the Estates Team or relevant agreed Contractor.
Helpdesk entries are categorised as General Estates (lighting, electrical, minor building works, cleaning etc) and Health and Safety. Helpdesk entries are issued to the relevant member of the Estates team/Contractor and we aim to complete all general estates work within two days of the job being posted on the helpdesk.

New Construction Build
Phase 1 of the New Construction Build is now completed and the College officially received handover on the 23 December. Teaching in the new area started week commencing 4 January 2010.
Phase 2 work started on 4 January and is due to for completion October 2010.

The Estates Office is located at the back of the main building (Portacabin 1). The office is open from 8am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am – 4.30pm on Friday.

The Caretaking and Security staff are located on the ground floor next to the canteen entrance. The office is open from 6am – 9pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 6pm on a Friday.
