Duration: Full Time 1 Year and Part Time 2 years afternoon/evening

Applicants must satisfy the requirement that they are employed/volunteering within a health and social setting.

Course Description:
This course is intended to meet the ongoing professional development of practitioners within health and social care who work primarily with vulnerable adults. It will inform students of legislative responsibilities and promote discussion of ethical issues and dilemmas faced by practitioners today.

What you will Study:
Interpersonal communication with vulnerable adults will be examined. It offers a range of assessment, most of which will be linked to practice. This course is a Higher Education course and will be run in partnership with the University of Glamorgan. Classes will be provided in Merthyr College but resources from both establishments can be accessed.

On Completion/ Career Paths:
Students will achieve 120 higher education credits. Students will gain skills in this area needed for employment.
