Entry Requirements:
School leavers must have a grade D. Mature students will be asked to undertake an initial assessment prior to acceptance, and be working towards a level 2.
Course Description:
The college has a range of excellent facilities to support the acquisition of GCSE English. A college-wide student support service is also available, which includes a full time, qualified Careers Officer.
What you will Study:
The student will practice a variety of writing styles; story, descriptive, letter, leaflets, reports etc. Comprehension skills will also be covered, and spelling, punctuation and grammar revised. Speaking and listening skills will be developed and assessed.
On Completion/ Career Paths:
GCSEs can lead on to many different types of courses e.g. A Level, AVCE, BTEC National and Access.
