Publication Scheme

In accordance with Section 19 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Merthyr Tydfil College has adopted without modification the Publication Scheme prepared and approved by the Information Commissioner.
Merthyr Tydfil College is committed to openness and transparency and to making the following classes of information available to the public.

• Current written protocols, policies and procedures for delivering our services and responsibilities

Information which will not be provided under the Scheme will include:

• Information in draft form


• Information the disclosure of which is prevented by law, or exempt under the Freedom of Information Act


• Information that is no longer readily available because it is contained in archived files or is otherwise difficult to access


• Information we do not hold

Information will be provided upon request, in other formats in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

Most of the information is available on the College’s website, free of charge. If it is not practical to make information available on the website, information will be made available in hard copy on request. A charge may be made to cover photocopying, postage and packaging if the cost exceeds £10. These charges will also apply to requests from enquirers without Internet access, for hard copies of material which is available through the website.
