A Foundation Certificate in Engineering, GNVQ Intermediate, First Award in Engineering, 4 GCSEs at A* – C. Mature applicants through interview.

About the Course


The foundation certificate is vocationally related qualification (VRQ) which has been developed to meet the demand from industry and ensures that the candidate has the practical as well as theoretical knowledge of engineering. This qualification can be further developed to qualify as a Technical Certificate, used in the modern apprenticeship framework.

What you will Study


To achieve the certificate in Engineering and Technology the candidate is required to complete two common mandatory pathway unit and the required number of optional units from their chosen pathway.

Electrical/Electronic,
Fabrication and Welding
Maintenance
Mechanical
A Multi-Skill Engineering pathway is also available.
