Level: 1 – 2
Duration: 1 year per level – Two evenings per week
Entry Requirements: All candidates will be required to pass a trade test prior to commencing the course.
Course Description:
The certificate scheme is a qualification for practical welders and is offered at level 1 and 2 which are specifically related to BS 4872. All certificates are counter signed by the Welding Institute. Candidates who satisfy all the requirements of the scheme can obtain:
• BS 4872 Certification and apply for
• Testing by Lloyds Insurers.
What you will Study:
At level 1, 2 and 3 we will offer:
• Manual Metal-Arc Welding
• Metal-Arc Gas Shielded Welding
• Tungsten Arc Gas Shielded Welding
• Oxy-Acetylene Gas Welding & Cutting
• Fabrication Processes General/Sheet
• Engineering Drawing
At level 3 there are options for welding:
• Pipe
• Aluminium
• Stainless Steel
On Completion/ Career Paths:
Qualified welding status.
