2 A Levels 1 A Level and 3 GCSE.s at grade C or above. Access Certificate VCE Double Award Scottish Highers Successful completion of year 1 of BTEC National Diploma. Mature students may be accepted without any formal qualifications at interview based on quality of portfolio and/or personal background and experience.About the Course
This course is a national qualification recognised by both universities and employers. Successful completion of the course provides a direct route to Higher Education or career opportunities in art, design and craft related vocations. This broad based course is an intensive introduction, to a range of Art & Design disciplines, allowing students to specialise in a specific pathway for application to Degree or HND level. Subject specialisms taught include Graphic Design, Fine Art, Ceramics, Photography, Fashion, Animation, Product Design.
What you will Study
You will have access to studio space and will produce a comprehensive portfolio of work for interview. Successful students can expect to progress to a wide range of Higher Education courses throughout Wales and UK.
On Completion/Career Paths
A pass, merit or distinction gained on this course would enable students to then progress onto a higher education course.
