The courses offered within the Childcare Section of the Division of Care and Access offer a wide range of qualifications ranging from Levels 1-4 in Childcare. All courses offer an excellent route into working within an education setting alongside the opportunity to progress to HE courses
Whether you want to become a Classroom teaching assistant, Childcare worker, support worker etc we can offer you an appropriate course in a practical, supportive, learning environment.
You will be taught by excellent teachers in a modern environment with excellent resources. You will also be able to take advantage of the college extensive library and modern IT suites.
These courses prepare you for the world of work. We have strong links with local settings and local employers. Arranged work placements will give you the opportunity to experience current job roles within a variety of settings.

This qualification is an introduction to childcare and the basic skills required when caring for children. This course takes one year to complete.
These courses are designed for those supporting teachers in schools or wishing to work in this field.
This qualification is aimed at learners who need the knowledge and understanding of child development and education necessary for working with children in a variety of job roles and settings.
This is an internationally recognised qualification, related to the care and education of children from birth to 19 years
