A Level Art and Design is a practical course that includes some historical elements. You will have the opportunity to develop your ideas through experimentation with a range of materials, media and processes.
A level drama or theatre studies course offers you a practical exploration of all aspects of theatre. You will study play texts; participate in performances; create and perform new work.
The A level music course will provide you with the skills and ability to perform, develop musical ideas, listen to music and acquire analytical skills.

This course is a specialist qualification designed to develop your knowledge and skills in a broad range of art and design subjects and enables you to go on to higher education or a specialist career in art and design. The qualification gives you the equivalent of 2/3 A Levels and is recognised by universities and employers.
The Art Department is equipped with excellent resources housed within a brand new, state of the art facility, where you will learn new skills and develop experience in a number of specialist techniques and approaches. You will use the college's extensive range of specialised equipment and take part in practical workshops, lectures, debates, gallery visits and independent research. You will go on trips to museums and galleries that frequently include visits to Oxford and London galleries, as well as offering you the choice to go on an annual foreign trip.
The 90 Credit Diploma is completed in one year, where upon successful completion, you may progress to study the Extended Diploma in Art and Design, for year two of the course.
Career opportunities include graphic designer, illustrator, photographer, animator, fashion designer, ceramicist, and a range of other disciplines in the creative industries.
