Thinking of progressing onto a higher education degree? The college has a number of support structures in place to help and support you during your studies.
A detailed induction programme will be available for all students to support them in their first day, weeks and months in the new college.This will include a detailed building induction, course induction, team building activities, fresher’s fair, guidance on independent learning, self study, time management etc.
All students will be assigned a personal course tutor, who will support you in the transition into your new college environment.
A weekly tutorial programme is in place for all full-time learners to monitor academic progress through the use of electronic learning plans.
Study Skills Support at The College Merthyr Tydfil is based on the first floor in the Learning Zone. This quiet area provides a study support base for staff and students. It offers a service for any student who feels they need extra help with any part of their college work. The welcoming and professional staff will give you individual help with any aspect of your studies.
