Plastering Course Learner Description

The College plastering course aims to develop the practical skills and knowledge necessary for those students who are currently employed or are training for employment within the plastering trade. 

The skills are set by the national occupational standards for plastering and delivered through the City and Guilds, awarding body. 


These qualifications are also supplemented by the development of key skills throughout the learning curriculum. The NVQ Diploma route for plastering, are open to those learners who are sponsored by employers through an apprenticeship scheme, offered in collaboration with construction industry training board. CITB.


The plastering section has been very successful over the years, we have raised standards and trained high numbers of learners who have remained employed, with many currently running successful businesses. 


Course Entry Requirements Level One 

For those learners who have an apprenticeship they attend college 1 day a week part time. 

For those  learners training or seeking employment  they attend college 3 days a week full time 


Course Entry Requirements Level Two 

Any learner wishing to start  straight onto level TWO will need to produce evidence of approved prior learning (APL) with supporting certification. 

Contact the college as soon as possible to set up a friendly meeting with the college plastering tutor.  The tutor will provide useful information and put you at ease with any questions you may have.
